New Orleans, LA
No one believes more in the American Dream than Jose Castillo. He is not your typical candidate for Congress with money and political connections. Jose has been through the school of hard knocks which has instilled his great appreciation for our country, our rights, and our Constitution.
Jose was born in New Orleans, but raised in Honduras by a single mom. As a young child, Jose saw the corruption and failure of big government in Central America. He returned to New Orleans to obtain a Management Degree from the University of New Orleans and a Master of Business Degree from Tulane University.
He settled with his family in Polk County, but has also lived in Osceola & Orange County which are part of Florida’s District 9.
Seeing firsthand how illegal immigrants steal jobs from legal residents, Jose became a founding member of the Patriotic Legal Immigrants USA movement. He was a part of the Florida’s Republican National Hispanic Assembly’s leadership team and is also involved with the Republican Liberty Caucus in Florida.
Jose worked in the hospitality management industry for Disney for well over a decade, but like tens of thousands of other hospitality workers, was laid off due to the pandemic. He continues to work in the hospitality industry and knows personally how this pandemic has devastated families in his community. Unlike the incumbent, when elected, Jose Castillo will be the voice of the people in Washington.
